Spend your first day in the cosmopolitan city of Lima, discovering its monuments, stores and fine cuisine. Then on to Cusco, the ancient Inca capital, to explore its fascinating blend of indigenous and colonial architecture, and the famous citadel of Machu Picchu, perched atop a mountain. 

This one-week trip to Peru, which includes plenty of free time to explore on your own, also includes all transportation, entrance fees (including Machu Picchu), seven nights' accommodation and daily breakfast.

Day 1

Welcome to Peru

On arrival at Lima International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you'll be able to relax for the rest of the day. Overnight in Lima.

This morning, we start with a walking tour of colonial Lima, capital of the Viceroyalty of Peru. You'll visit the historic city center and admire over fifty colonial monuments and buildings, including the Paseo de la República, San Martín square, the main square, the government palace, the archbishop's palace and the cathedral basilica.Visit the catacombs of the monumental San Francisco convent and the catacombs.
After visiting downtown Lima, we'll return to the hotel. At around 6:30pm, we'll pick you up and take you to the Huaca Pucllana restaurant for a welcome dinner. «Huaca Pucllana maintains with justifiable pride a culinary philosophy whose fundamental concept rests on using the flavors of Peru as a base, interpreted according to classic cooking techniques, as well as contemporary styles and the demands of the most exquisite palates.
Thanks to the skilled contribution of Arturo Rubio, the restaurant's promoter, and our chefs Marilú Madueno and Andrea Massaro, the restaurant offers a renewed cuisine whose foundation is Peruvian cuisine, with its rich variety of products, whether seafood or the immense range of vegetables, with all their colors, textures and flavors.»
After dinner, we return to our hotel. Lima -Cuzco

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Cusco. The flight takes around 1 hour. We land in the capital of the Inca Empire. On arrival, we'll check into our hotel and acclimatize to the altitude. Cusco is surrounded by the Andes at 3,399 meters above sea level. Rest of the day free to relax. Night in Cusco.
After breakfast at the hotel, at around 9:30 a.m., we'll walk to the restaurant for our cooking class. In the heart of Cusco, you'll find our restaurant, a magnificent and comfortable space, where the cuisine is exquisite and the atmosphere rustic but very pleasant, with elegant decor.
Our restaurant offers a wide variety of typical Peruvian dishes, which you can enjoy in a cosy lounge or on a magnificent colonial-style terrace, giving the restaurant a special cachet that makes it unique.
- The Peruvian cooking course experience in Cusco lasts between 2.5 and 3 hours. - This is a traditional Peruvian restaurant located in the Cusco district. It's renowned for its unique atmosphere, charming interior, picturesque outdoor dining room and stunning views! - During your cooking classes, you'll see a live demonstration of how Andean cuisine is prepared and how to use the wonderful local ingredients that make their menu so proud. - At the end of the experience, you'll be able to taste the delicious dishes presented during the demonstration. - After our class, we'll continue our tour of the city.

We'll visit the Koricancha temple, a preserved Inca palace and worship center located in the historic center of Cusco. From here, the tour continues to the Plaza de Armas (the main square) and the Basilica Cathedral (a historic Catholic temple) before heading to the fortress of Sacsayhuamán (15th-century Inca ruins and Qenko archaeological site). After the visit, we return to the hotel. Rest of the day free to explore the city and relax. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 4

Sacred Valley Tour - Urbamba

Early breakfast at the hotel. Then, at 9 a.m., we start our excursion to the Sacred Valley, where we'll see the buildings and temples of the Inca empire: the religious temple, the handicraft market where you can enjoy the typical Indian market held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, and discover the customs of its inhabitants in this typical market (on Sundays, mass is celebrated in Quechua, the indigenous language), we'll continue our journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the province of Urubamba where we'll have lunch. In the afternoon, we'll head for the town of Ollantaytambo, where we'll see its famous Inca terraces and temples, and visit the fortress of the same name. At the end of our visit, transfer to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.
NOTE: We'll need to pack a small overnight bag. After the tour, we'll spend the night at our next hotel in Urubamba. This will put us closer to the train station to catch the train to Machu Picchu the following day. The large suitcase can stay at the hotel in Cusco, where we'll return the following day. Recommendations: in addition to your clothes, take: sun cream, sunglasses, hats, binoculars, insect repellent, camera, water, rucksack.
Early breakfast at the hotel. Around 6:45 am, transfer to the train station to catch the Vistadome Observatory train to Aguas Calientes.
An exclusive atmosphere that plunges you into a magical landscape thanks to its panoramic windows and observatory car, for an unforgettable journey and an immersion in our authentic culture through traditional Saqra music and dance. Throughout the journey, passengers can move between the panoramic car and the elegant observatory car, enjoying the on-board experience. The trip lasts around 2.5 hours, during which you can enjoy spectacular Andean scenery, dance performances and an open deck to admire the breathtaking view of the Andes while traveling in comfort. On arrival, we'll begin our ascent to Machu Picchu on a bus that will make the journey in 30 minutes.
We'll have our own private tour of Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu is divided into two sectors: agricultural and urban, divided into several sites such as: the monitoring station, the cemetery and ritual rock, the sun temple, the intiwhatana, the sacred temple of the three windows, the main temple, the sanctuary or tomb, the gates, fountains and plazas. After the tour, we'll go to the Sanctuary Lodge by Belmond hotel for tea (snacks and drinks - from 4 p.m.).Then we'll take the bus to Aguas Calientes where we'll go to the station to catch our luxury train back to Cusco, the Hiram Binham Train by Belmond. A luxurious train where you can enjoy the elegant dining car, the bar car with traditional Peruvian cocktails and live local music.

After arriving at Poroy station at around 9.15pm, we'll head to our hotel in Cusco for a rest.

After breakfast, free day in the city to explore on your own, shop and more.
Around 6.30pm, we'll meet in the hotel lobby to walk to our restaurant for our last dinner in Cusco. Our restaurant is located in the central courtyard of the Museum of Pre-Columbian Art. MAP Café serves exceptional dishes prepared with typical regional ingredients that enhance the classic flavors of Peruvian cuisine, with a highly personal and original touch.
After dinner, we walk back to the hotel. Night in Cusco

Around midday, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Lima and your final destination.
