Cruise on the Nile - The Sources of Ancient Egypt
Sail peacefully on the Nile, between thousand-year-old temples, timeless landscapes and authentic villages. An enchanting experience that reveals the very essence of Egypt, from Luxor to Aswan, along its mythical river.
Days 1 & 2
Luxor- Karnak - Edfu
Flight to Luxor. Free lunch. Welcome and transfer to your 5* premium boat. Check-in. Overnight stay.
Visit the spectacular site of Karnak, the great temple of Amun Re, with its impressive hypostyle hall of 134 columns. Lunch on board. Sail to Edfu via the Esna lock. Dinner and overnight on board.
Visit the temple of Horus at Edfu (the falcon-headed god, son of Osiris and Isis). This temple is the largest of the Ptolemaic dynasty and the second most important sanctuary in Egypt after Karnak. Lunch on board and sail to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sail to Kom Ombo. Visit to the temple of Kom Ombo. Dating from the Greco-Roman era, it features two superb sanctuaries, one dedicated to Sobek, the Crocodile God, and the other to Haroëris, Horus the Elder. Sailing to Aswan. Dinner and overnight on board.

Aswan - Philae
Felucca trip to Aswan. Continuation to Philae temple on Aguilka island, dedicated to the cult of Isis and saved from the waters by UNESCO. Lunch stop. Photo stop at the Aswan High Dam. In the evening, possibility of attending the "sound and light" show at Philae (to be booked and paid for on site). Dinner and overnight on board.
Free morning or optional excursion by coach to Abu Simbel (to be booked and paid for on site), home to the two temples of Ramses II and his wife Nefertari, which were to be swallowed up by the waters when the high dam on the Nile was commissioned.
At UNESCO's instigation, they were dismantled in 1965 and rebuilt identically at the top of the spur of the Libyan chain overlooking the river at this point. Lunch on board. Sailing to Luxor. Dinner and overnight on board.

Cross the Nile to visit the necropolis of Thebes (Valley of the Kings), home to tombs carved out of the rock to protect them from robbers (tombs of Seti I and Tutankhamen extra, payable locally).
Visit the temple of Queen Hatshepsut and stop at the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch on board. Visit to Luxor Temple, which the Egyptians called "the southern Harem of Amun". In the evening, possibility of attending the sound and light show at Karnak (to be booked and paid for locally). Dinner and overnight stay on board.

"Journey to Mexico"
Valentin helped us organize our trip. He helped us book our return flights to Mexico, our internal flights within Mexico, our accommodations in San Miguel de Allende and Mexico City, and our transfers. Valentin was professional, friendly and responsive in all our dealings. He chose two very nice boutique hotels for us. We had a problem on site and he quickly replied to my e-mail and solved the problem. Valentin was a pleasure to deal with. If I need a travel agent in the future, I will call on him again.

I had a wonderful time in Paris, France. I was saving this destination for an important anniversary at the end of 2026. However, as life is short, I realized that there was no guarantee that I would still be there. So I decided to go on vacation in August 2025. This trip fulfilled all my expectations. Valentin booked several excursions/museums for me and also gave me ideas for things to do after visiting these places. His suggestions were comprehensive, detailed, well researched and excellent!
