Day 1

France, Salvador de Bahia

Flight to Salvador via São Paulo. Welcome by your local guide, transfer to hotel for three nights. Dinner on your own. Night at hotel.

Breakfast on board. Cruise aboard a schooner (not private) to the island of Itaparica. Here, stroll through the charming historic center, discover its pretty shady squares and let yourself be seduced by the peaceful atmosphere of the village.
Lunch on the island, then return to your hotel in the afternoon. In the evening, enjoy a typical dinner and aperitif at the Uaua restaurant. To round off the day, you can - subject to availability - attend a small percussion parade organized every Tuesday in the town. Overnight at your hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Guided tour of Salvador, capital of the State of Bahia. Discover the lower town. Stop at Mont Serrat for a coconut tasting, then on to the Ribeira district. Opportunity to take part in a symbolic ritual offering to Yemanja, goddess of the sea and femininity in Afro-Brazilian religion. Visit with a stop at the Joaquim market, then the famous Mercado Modelo, rich in local crafts.
Lunch of Bahian specialities at a renowned hotel school. In the afternoon, explore the historic Pelourinho district. A capoeira demonstration (to be confirmed) will punctuate the visit. Tasting of local artisanal ice cream. Return to hotel. Dinner at leisure. Night at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport and flight to Rio de Janeiro. Lunch at leisure. Cable car ride to Sugarloaf, offering spectacular views of Guanabara Bay. Churrascaria dinner (a variety of tasty meats presented on skewers and cut directly at the table by waiters) near your hotel. Overnight at your hotel.

Rio de Janeiro

Breakfast on board. Ride the cogwheel train up Corcovado to the statue of Christ the Redeemer, overlooking Copacabana and Ipanema beaches.
Lunch at a rooftop restaurant offering a breathtaking view of Rio's bay. Panoramic tour of the city: Stop at the famous Selarón staircase, covered with over 2,000 mosaic tiles from all over the world. Visit to the Metropolitan Cathedral to conclude this immersion in the heart of Rio. Dinner at the hotel. Night at hotel.
We have breakfast. Drive to Paraty, a charming fishing port nestled in the south of a splendid bay. Lunch on board. Then discover this picturesque 18th-century city on foot, with its rich historical heritage, cobbled streets and colorful facades. During the excursion, taste a local cachaça, emblematic of the region. Check-in at the pousada for two nights. Dinner on your own. Night in pousada.

Day 6

Rio de Janeiro, Paraty

Paraty, The Tropical Islands

Breakfast on board. Board a traditional schooner for a non-private cruise on the waters of Paraty Bay, dotted with tropical islets and lush vegetation. Lunch served on board.
Relax with swimming and snorkeling in this idyllic setting. Return to Paraty in the afternoon, then free time to stroll through the city's lively streets. In the evening, dinner accompanied by local music. Night in a pousada.
Then breakfast. Drive to São Paulo airport and lunch en route. Flight to Iguaçu. Arrival, welcome and transfer to hotel for 3 nights. Dinner on your own. Night at hotel.

Day 8

Paraty, Sao Paulo, Iguacu

Iguacu
(Argentinian side)

Breakfast. On the border between Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina, Iguaçu Falls is one of the world's most spectacular waterfalls, with over 200 cascades stretching for almost 3 kilometers through a lush tropical forest.
A train ride will take you to the famous Devil's Gorge footbridge, an impressive cataract plunged into a vortex of water and mist. Several lookouts line the route, offering breathtaking panoramas of this grandiose natural setting.
Lunch in the heart of the park, immersed in this nature sanctuary. Dinner on your own. Night in hotel.
Breakfast. Exploration of the falls on the Brazilian side, offering a spectacular view of the abyss where more than 250 waterfalls tumble into the heart of Iguaçu National Park. Lunch in the park, overlooking the breathtaking panorama.
The afternoon continues with a visit to the Bird Park, where you'll meet almost 900 birds representing 180 species, including the emblematic parrots and toucans. Return to the hotel at the end of the day, followed by a farewell dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Iguacu, Sao Paulo, France

After breakfast, transfer to Iguaçu airport. Transfer to Iguaçu airport, flight to Sao Paulo where an English-speaking transfer driver will help you collect your luggage in Sao Paulo and check-in for your flight to France. Lunch at leisure. Flight to France. Dinner and overnight on board. Return to France.
